Landscape Architecture. View from the house

October the 20th in the “House in Brestskaya” (http://www.dom6.ru/) was opened the XII Festival "Landscape Architecture. View from the house".

In addition to the traditional show of landscape projects this year the competition of student works and installations on eco-friendly theme "Man’s parking" were held.

The festival has taken place for 12 years and this year it also includes the "Green Project" in which the principal note was innovative and environmentally friendly design. Each year the festival presents more and more projects related to the renovation of urban squares, parks and outdoors territories.

One of the most interesting expositions became the work for the project "Smart Park" based on the theme of reconstruction of Gorky park performed by students of High School of Landscape Architecture and Design.

Also the works made by the "Start" school students impressed a lot. Fifteen years old designers created "live buildings" - "House of clover," "Tree House" etc.

However, the brightest part of the festival in my opinion is the "Man’s parking" installation curated by Sergei Yaralov. Some works are very pleased my eye and impresses by the keenness of wit.

But, as you might expect, my heart was given to the stand which represents the window’s decoration of russian wooden architecture. Models were presented relatively to different regions and are made with high quality.

I should mention one more amazing attraction of “House on Brestskaya”: the mock-up of the central part of Moscow. Its creation takes more than 10 years, it made at a scale of 1:500 from different types of wood. The mock-up is constantly being updated, responding to the changes in Moscow.
